NOTE: There are a lot of people making horror games. And most of the originals (FistA, Dark Awakening, Manes, Puppy, etc..) are no longer around. In fact, most people don't even get their game off the ground and finish it. I think the event that sparked the mass of indpendent game development was the downfall of FistA ProductionS, and the hardware to make such titles became available to the public. Most people jumped on the programs and picked them up easily, but just didn't have enough time to dedicate to a game, espically for not receiving a profit from it.
